I hate to rant or complain about my life but I find that I do that a lot lately. Classes haven't been going perfect, I haven't been dedicated about updating this blog, and some people just make it their goal to walk all over me because I try to be nice. But classes are about to be over and I'm worried about what my summer plans will be but I know God will take control. My mum and my sister will be visiting an we'll be going to a spa/resort with my bestest cousin, Toni, hopefully (though I have told my mum to just save her money -->the Ijebu in me is central to my thinking, thank you very much :)
Anyways, as I think back, I'm trying to figure out what I did this semester that I'm proud of and that is.....encouraging my cousin to start watching, and in some cases, liking African movies. Adn if you know Toni, you'll know this is quite a feat because she hates Naij movies with a passion ehn. But we started doing this Friday Movie Night where we'll watch an African movie, with my recommendation of course. I don't want her to start watching hot messes like Men In Love or Midnight Confession and just give up on the African Movie industry.
But yes, so far, we've watched Chelsea, Mirror of Life, Distance Between, and The Game. And we had mad fun watching them esp The Game, yoooo, that movie is awesome, that's all I'm gonna say, like you'll laugh, no doubt about it.
Toni is on the far left, fine baby!! Btw, my stomach looks big oh.
Which brings me to my next point, for all you Nollywood addicts like moi, there's this channel on Youtube that streams full length naij movies for free. Basically, they are partners with Youtube so they are able to buy the copyrights of these movies, so there is nothing illegal about watching them. It has really helped me save money, so I'll recommend it :). Here it is http://www.youtube.com/user/NollywoodLove
Another thing I'm so proud of this semester is that Yours Truly was part of a Fashion Show, yes I know, there must be a deficiency of stick thin models in my school. But people said my walk was good and I was so happy. and they screamed when I came out oh, see me feeling fresh and fly like a butterfly. Stunting like Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible, ok, I'll stop, forgive me.
Love that dress but I could not sit down properly because it was too short
That's me third left.
So, that's my semester so far. How's the year been for you and any plans for summer. Y'all should let me know oh.
I will review Mirror of Life in my next post, pretty interesting movie.
Till later, deuces sweeties
P.S I've been having an illegal addiction to Ice-cream smoothies, which is just horrible because I have decided I must to wear a two-piece bikini this summer, for the first time in my life.
P.S.2 I know this is soooo late but My hubby, MI's sophomore album, MI2 was released last year and it is awesome. Fave songs are One Naira, Action Film, Wild Wild West, Represent, and Somebody Wants to Die. Check up on it like you're Beyonce!!! I'll stop now
Love y'all!!!!!!
thank you for stopping...lol..

Giiiiiiiiiiirl. So proud of you for the fashion show! You look so good! Can't wait to go to the spa with you and your family! This summer, I'm going to take summer classes and then go to Nigeria, you're totally invited :P. Girl, you needs to drop the ice cream smoothies and head to the gym with the Julester yo. Looking forward to more movie nights! And i never hated Nigerian movies.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're right, commenting on M.I.'s album is soooooooooo soooooo late
Really happy that all went well for you this semester. So mad I wasn't at fashion show to cheer. But I'm sure you really did good. You know people on your school are hard critics. If they say you did. You most definitely did. But for real tom cruise?? Woman give me a break? Lol Who's cute baby? Toni?? Ahhha. I'm going to leave it like that. Lol. Wish you the best in all your future ventures.
